Plus, ultra-rare trailers for real cult movies presented on 35mm!

In the tradition of Robert Rodriguez’s and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse, the Mayfair presents the return of the Fake Trailers/Real Festival, which is, as the name suggests, a real festival of trailers — for fake movies.

This is the only chance you’ll have to see these original works by local and international filmmakers, because these flicks are never coming to a theatre near you.

Admission is value priced at just $6 for members and $10 for non-members. As always, annual memberships are available for only $10!

REAL TRAILERS, TOO!
In addition to an hour of original, fake trailers submitted by local and international filmmakers, the evening will include another hour of obscure, rare and unbelievable-but-true trailers for films from the actual grindhouse era — when movie houses stayed open 24 hours a day, and flicks were cranked out at a ferocious pace to meet the need.

The Fake Trailers/Reel Festival takes place only at the Mayfair on August 22nd at 9:15pm, Ottawa’s home of stuff you won’t see anywhere else.
