120 minutes — PG, 35mm, Guy Hamilton, United Kingdom, 1971
There’s little in the way of romance in this Bond outing (unless you count the one between hit men Wint and Kidd), despite the nuptial overtones of its title. Nevertheless, with Bond hot on the trail of smuggled diamonds — a trail that leads directly to Blofeld — this film “is great at doing the things we see a James Bond movie for.” (Roger Ebert) (Btw, the film also features Bruce Glover, father of Crispin, who will be here this month!)
