Kiss and Cry

Join us for a special presentation of the powerful new feature film Kiss and Cry, with filmmakers in attendance.
Kiss and Cry is a drama based on the true story of Carley Allison, an up-and-coming young figure skater and singer who finds love just as she is diagnosed with an extremely rare 1 in 3.5 billion form of cancer.
The filmmakers went to great lengths to achieve a sense of realism by shooting in locations where Carley Allison lived her life, as well as by casting Carley’s real-life best friend Sarah Fisher to play her. Critics agree, “The film is undoubtably stolen by Sarah Fisher” (Addison Wylie).
NOW Magazine writes “I was reminded of the thing I love most about the movies: they can surprise you, if you let them” and gives the film NNNN.
Stay for a Q&A after the film with director Sean Cisterna and producer Avi Federgreen.
Sean Cisterna directed the 2011 feature film road trip comedy Moon Point, which played the international festival circuit to great success, winning several awards. His 2015 project Full Out, starring the iconic Jennifer Beals, is a feature based on the true story of gymnast Ariana Berlin, currently on Netflix.  2017’s Kiss and Cry, a romantic drama based on the true story of a young woman with a 1 in 3.5 billion form of sarcoma, will be distributed on a global level.
