Rediscovering Jacques Ellul in the 21st Century

Rediscovering Jacques Ellul in the 21st Century is the main theme, and in particular his views on technology, freedom and the use of propaganda. A central focus has to do with communicating humanly in an age of technology and spin. Several renowned Ellul scholars who knew Ellul personally will talk about his work and field questions. This will be followed by a showing of a documentary film about Ellul. After a break the film by Godfrey Reggio and Philip Glass, “Visitors,” will be screened at 9:15 p.m.
The Jacque Ellul event is free of charge, the film screening is $15 regular, and $10 for members of the Mayfair, students and seniors.

Presented by the Department of Philosophy and the Faculty of Arts and Science, along with the Faculty of Philosophy at Dominican University College.
