You'll come to PIECES!

This Tuesday, the Mayfair proudly presents two films that are apart of a classic horror tradition: the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and it’s comedic sequel. But there is cinematic proof that you don’t have to go to Texas for a chainsaw massacre! The 1983 grindhouse shocker Pieces will be showing this Friday and Saturday night at 11:30pm! This Spanish made splatter film features a psycho killer who terrorizes a college campus by sawing his victims and create human puzzles! It was directed by an exploitation auteur by the name of Juan Piquer Simon, and if you’ve seen episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000, you might have seen his ultra cheesy E.T. ripoff entitled Pod People. But Pieces is in another league altogether…

This rare 35mm presentation is coming straight from the U.S. courtesy of Grindhouse Releasing! It’s not for the squeamish and as the trailer forewarns, it’s exactly what you think it is!

I’ll let my own opinion be the judge of that.

Though it’s unfortunate you didn’t like it.

SirPsychoSwayze, I disagree wholeheartedly. Whether or not you like the movie (that’s totally personal, of course), it’s one of the most unique things to come out in years, and it’s worth watching for anyone who has an interest in film. I personally loved it, but that’s not why I think it’s worth seeing.
