Shadows & Light

Meet Gary Warner Kent, stuntman, actor, writer, director, and survivor of the 50s/60s and 70s era of Hollywood low budget filmmaking. Kent has written a very entertaining and revealing book about his experiences rubbing broken elbows with the likes of Warren Oates, Jack Nicholson, Lee Marvin, and directors like Richard Rush (Hell’s Angels On Wheels) Al Adamson (Dracula Vs. Frankenstein) and more recently Don Coscarelli (Bubba Ho-Tep).

The book is entitled Shadows & Light: Journeys with Outlaws in Revolutionary Hollywood and  it tracks Gary’s humble beginnings as he arrived in Hollywood in the 50s with dreams of being an actor to becoming  a stuntman on various westerns, TV series and other B-movies of the era that led to the revolutionary and innovative era of The New Hollywood in the 1970s.

The book is available on amazon.com or through Gary’s website, garywarnerkent.com
