Presented by the Jamaican Ottawa Community Association through New Horizons for Seniors.
The purpose of the Jamaican (Ottawa) Community Association Incorporated is to provide and organize supportive
services and activities for persons of all ages and abilities who are members of the organization or their families and to
do so in a manner that welcomes the community at large and where such services and activities will assist everyone in
living healthy and complete lives as contributing members of Canadian society.
This support will enhance the quality of life for the Jamaican Community and the wider Afro-Caribbean and Canadian
communities in Ottawa. We strive to promote various services for our youth and seniors. The youth are our future and the seniors are our link to our heritage. This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada.
A young man deals with his dysfunctional home life and comes of age in Miami during the “War on Drugs” era. The story of his struggle to find himself is told across three defining chapters in his life as he experiences the ecstasy, pain, and beauty of falling in love while grappling with his own sexuality.
