AKA Nightmare in a Damaged Brain and Blood Splash, this flick, which follows a recently (and apparently, prematurely) released mental patient as he hacks his way through New York, is “a rare combination of skill and absolute sleaze [that pushes] the slasher film to (literally) illegal levels — [a UK distributor served six months in jail for selling uncut versions of it in the early ‘80s].” (Cinema Gonzo)
