Le temps d’un été (aka – One Summer) – Screening August 25, 28, 29, 31!

Advance tickets now available for Le Temps D’un Été!

For more than 25 years, Marc Côté, street chaplain and parish priest, has lived with the poor and the homeless. Exhausted from running his church, which serves as a shelter, and overwhelmed by the bills they can’t pay. Marc must face the facts: he will have to shut down his church. Like a call from Providence, he inherits a property and takes a group of homeless people with him, who, like himself, need a vacation. French with English subtitles.

From the Victoria Film Festival, Genie, and TIFF award winning director of And The Birds Rained Down, and Familia!

“the film of the year!…A film that warms the heart ” (Noovo Moi)

“beautiful story of solidarity…a formidable line-up of performers” (Le Soleil)

“a heartwarming film” (Montreal Journal)

“A story woven with laughter, silences and tears” (Journal Le Soir)

*Please take note that doors open 30 minutes before showtimes. We encourage people to arrive early. We have a small box office, a small candy bar, and a single-screen cinema, meaning that when most of an audience shows up a few minutes before showtime, it causes a bottleneck. If possible, we appreciate you arriving a little bit early to pick out your seat and get your popcorn. Thanks for your help!

For more than 25 years, Marc Côté, street chaplain and parish priest, has lived with the poor and the homeless. Today, Marc is a worn-out man. Exhausted from running his church, which serves as a shelter, and overwhelmed by the bills they can no longer pay, Marc must face the facts: he will have to shut down his church. Like a call from Providence, he inherits a property in the Bas-du-Fleuve region and decides to take a group of homeless people with him, who, like himself, need a vacation. Le Temps D'un Été immerses us in a bright story... A story woven with laughter, silences and tears... A feel-good movie where the sun and the clouds blend together leaving the audience with a delicious taste of hope.
