Musicologist Alexis Luko (Carleton University) guides us through the sound decisions Bergman made for a variety of his career-defining films, with Adam Saikaley (piano) and Matt Morel (cello) demonstrating select musical excerpts alongside Luko’s commentary. We also feature a look at period film trailers, courtesy of Dr. James Deaville’s Trailaurality SSHRC project. A screening of the Bergman film ‘Persona’ will follow.
