Red Rue Express is a romantic comedy set in the Train universe created by FILM.UA and Prototype Production. The film is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, the 56th anniversary of the first performance of the song “Chervona Ruta,” and the 55th anniversary of the iconic musical film of the same name.

Train attendant Mykola Ivanovych is going on vacation and embarks on a journey aboard the signature train Red Rue Express. Along the way, several romantic stories unfold: some characters experience love at first sight, others manage to preserve the love they already share, while some are given the chance to realize that love has been beside them all along.

The legendary symbol of the “Chervona Ruta” becomes the central romantic motif of the story, while the song itself serves as the film’s musical foundation and emotional centerpiece.

The leading roles are performed by Oleksandr Rudynskyi, Stanislav Boklan, Roman Lutskyi, and Kateryna Varchenko. The film also features cameo appearances by several Ukrainian musicians connected to the “Chervona Ruta” music festival.
