In the not-too-distant future, aging former cat burglar Frank (Frank Langella) receives an unwanted gift: a robot butler/health care aide (Peter Sarsgaard). If that sounds like an unlikely setup for a heist film, it is, but it’s an even more unlikely setup for what the film really is: a touching meditation on aging, identity and friendship.
