Don’t Say Its Name

Don’t Say Its Name – Ottawa Premiere the Week of Friday November 12th!

Advance tickets now available for Don’t Say Its Name!

After a native, anti-mining activist is killed in a mysterious hit and run, horrific, seemingly random murders start occurring in the snowfields of an isolated reserve. A local tribal police officer deputizes a Métis Afghan combat veteran with serious PTSD issues to help resolve the terror afflicting the reserve. As they begin to connect the dots and find the connection tying together the seemingly arbitrary killings, they confront a world of ancient native myths now very much alive in their small insulated world, making themselves and their loved ones targets of a primordial supernatural force.

“a triple treat, a very effective snowbound spectral thriller…three exceptional strong women at the centre of the story. With a wealth of Indigenous talent both in front of and behind the camera…this one more than delivers.” (Fantasia Film Festival)

“Carves out a path for Canadian horror…excellent cast and chilly atmosphere…It carves out a place for itself in the Canadian horror lexicon…manages to feel distinctly Canadian in ways that feel dangerous and exciting” (Dread Central)

“Don’t Say Its Name is top-notch…an engaging mystery” (Film Threat)

“a majorly memorable movie.” (Culture Crypt)

“challenging ideas and chilling horror” (iHorror)

*The management kindly asks for all patrons to arrive 20-30 minutes before the movie starts. Since our space and seating capacity is limited, early arrival will help prevent last-minute overcrowding and give patrons enough room for proper physical distancing. We appreciate your cooperation.
