“Rightly considered among the greatest martial arts films of all time…an absolutely fantastic one-two punch of great kung fu cinema…a blisteringly relentless final act that dazzles and outdoes just about anything kung fu cinema has ever offered.” (Cinapse)

“is quite simply amazing. It involves some of the most intricate, difficult and joyfully executed action sequences I have ever seen…It may not be possible to film a better fight scene…The bottom line is: Chan has earned his place in movie history somewhere in the same hall of fame that also houses the other great physical performers who really did their stuff themselves: Buster Keaton, Douglas Fairbanks Sr., Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly and, yes, Jackie Chan.” (Roger Ebert)

“remains a kinetic masterpiece in its extended fight sequences, including the epic concluding battle between” (Screen Anarchy)

“you owe it to yourself to check this classic out…a landmark effort in the career of the incredible Jackie Chan…There is something about what this martial arts icon was accomplishing during this period in his career that is unlike what most stars would ever be capable of executing.” (Geek Vibes Nation)
