What is the deadline for submissions?

October 13th

Hi! My boyfriend and I are interested in submitting a film and are wondering what would be the best way to get the video to you? I live near the bank location and could easily drop off a dvd package …. or would a file be better?

ALso, what is the max video length?
thanks!

josh

yup…you can drop it off at the Mayfair.
either to someone in the box office or you can leave it in the mailbox.
Quicktime file is the preference.

no real rule on length, though do remember that it is a one night mini-fest.
so it’s more likely to fit in a 10 minute film vs a 45 minute film.

Oh okay great! I don’t have quicktime but I can try to download it. … In the meantime, would you accept an Adobe Flash Video or AVI file burned onto a dvd?

Thanks

yup…that’s ok too

Hello

I would like to submit a trailer for my film project entitled GNOMERCY. What is the submission deadline?

Thanks

PS. This would be a different trailer than the one that screened during the Ottawa Browncoat event held on September 30th.

Still October 13th 🙂

A last minute rush as per usual, but things are almost all ready to go for the screening Sunday. A few filmmakers have to get their shorts my way (via the magic of the interwebs), which should be done today or tomorrow at latest. Have a nice mix of horrific offerings, ranging from art house to rock video to comedic to genuinely sick n twisted fare. Looks like we’ll have about 13 shorts in all, a nice collection for our seventh year.

HI josh, I didn’t hear back from you as to whether or not the video Mary by Kristen and Sinisa will be playing! Feel free to send us an email…

josh

Hi Kristen,

I’m afraid that after multiple attempts the e-mail address that you provided with the submission didn’t work.
Glad that you checked in though, we will be screening ‘Mary’ on Sunday night.
