Looking for a Piano!

The Mayfair is looking for someone or some group to donate a piano to the cinema.  The plan is to do more silent film screenings with a piano player.  Whoever donates a working pinao will get a gold pass for free movies for year. Thanks

New Popcorn Machine!

We just installed a new popcorn machine… as the old just couldn’t handle the crowds and was on its last legs… This new one is more then double the capacity of the old one, 32oz of corn at a time…. and pops fast!

Questions about cinema sound!

The Mayfair theatre plays films in a number of different sound formats depending on the age of the film and what sound format it supports. 1930’s- 70’s MONO Early films mainly before the mid seventies generally only have a mono optical track on the film.
